TIME magazine is out with its list of top 100 most influential people for 2006 and the list this year has 2 Indians - Nandan Nilekani and Vikram Akula. The former, the ever famous Infosys CEO - who inspired Thomas Friedman to write "The world is flat" and the latter someone I never heard of in any Indian media before.
MicroFinance for the poor in rural India seemed a very interesting concept and the TIME article about his achievement set me up googling for more on Vikram and his company.
I found the website for his company SKS finance . Must say - an impressive website to go with a novel and innovative service. Kudos to Vikram...
